DDA Boosts Evac+Chair Sales

Sunday, January 01, 2006

Evac+Chair International Ltd has experienced a 20% increase in sales of its award-winning stairway evacuation chair as a direct result of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Managing Director Barry Scholes said, “Judging by the sales of the Evac+Chair since the Act came into force, the DDA has had a clear impact on employers.”

Evac+Chair is a simple, safe and effective solution that meets employers’ DDA obligations, requiring adequate means of escape for all. Evac+Chair enables a single user to evacuate a person with mobility difficulties through the ingenious use of continuous rotating v-belts to provide a controlled stairway descent without the need for lifting or altering the fabric of the building.

As a direct result of the DDA, Evac+Chair International has experienced a 20% increase in sales of its stairway evacuation chair, Evac+Chair, which offers employers a simple, safe and effective means of DDA compliance.
